About Us

Welcome to The Q – HQ!

The home of the kick-arse Mod, Power-Pop combo, The Q.

Formed in 2005; we quickly set about bringing our own brand of Mod/Punk/Pop racket to the masses! Following a couple of trips to studios and some feverish songwriting our first material was unleashed on the general public via the ‘Takin’ a Detour Vol 3′ compilation album on Detour Records in 2006.¬†

In 2008 we released our first record ‘Issues E.P.’ via Time For Action Records (www.timeforaction.de). 4 Tracks, 10 inches of Vinyl and Rob’s Lambretta on the front – who could ask for more than that!

Our first album ‘Sonically Sound’ was released in April 2011 again on Time ForAction. 11 blistering songs capturing the band in the raw!

2013 saw us release four digital only singles and a vinyl e.p. ‘Chemical Overload’. All 4 songs were recorded at Faster Studios (Home of the Manic Street Preachers) and produced by Greg Haver.

2014 saw us record 3 more new songs (The Social, Chill Pill, Rock n Roll Herberge) and take a trip to New York to play four shows!

And now, in the early months of 2016, armed with another quartet of new songs we’re venturing into the studio again – hopefully to have new material for release in the summer.

Regularly gigging up and down the country, you can bet your life that we’ll be in a venue near you pretty soon – it could be your local pub or it could be the O2 Academy – who knows?

Sharply dressed? Like your music full of chainsaw guitars, driving bass and pounding drums? Then The Q are for you!

See you down the front!
